Livernois Vehicle Development provides extensive engineering support to OEM and supplier organizations:
Instrumentation
Our technicians have extensive instrumentation experience, including
- Thermocouples (hundreds of channels)
- Crash pulse accelerometers
- Data loggers
- Pressure transducers
- Microphones
- Optical tachometers
- Analysis software
Installations can be designed for laboratory or short- or long-term on-road use.
Prototype Vehicle Technical Support
Livernois has long experience supporting prototype vehicles with new powertrains and unique components. In addition to providing a home base to development teams in our own workshops, we regularly provide field support at proving grounds across the country. Our fabricators are experienced at making custom components at the direction of development engineers to hasten the development process.
Alternate Fuels
Livernois is proud of the role it has played in the field testing and introduction of alternate-fuel powertrains, including clean-burning diesel, hybrid, hydrogen, CNG, and LPG. Our facilities are equipped and our technicians trained and experienced in developing these new technologies. We can work with you to develop packaging, support field test vehicles, or install conversion kits.
Vehicle or Component Displays
The complex and cross-functional technologies that provide the safety, reliability, and fuel economy of today’s vehicles are more easily communicated to corporate teams, the media, and the public by high-quality display properties. Livernois regularly produces custom displays to support the introduction of new vehicles at major shows and media events.
Fleet Maintenance
In addition to our activities supporting engineering development, we also provide routine maintenance for vehicle fleets for clients that require the highest caliber of service.
Vehicle Transportation
Livernois provides covered or open transportation of prototype vehicles to and from client’s facilities according to the needs of the project.
