LVD’s engineering department offers over 60 years of combined experience in automotive engineering.

Our experience includes design, development, or supervisory responsibility for brakes and brake systems, powertrain integration, diesel engines, NVH testing and assessment, target setting and issue resolution, tuned damper design, sound package and body sealing development, automotive manufacturing, crash safety development, light-, medium-, and heavy trucks, and Global 8-D and Six-Sigma tools.

Our development and testing services are backed by comprehensive company resources. Livernois’ fabrication department produces metal stampings, machining, composites, and wiring, and is equipped for one-off prototypes through low-volume production. Our engineering support services can build a new vehicle platform on a surface plate, modify existing vehicles, and work with alternatives such as hydrogen, CNG, and hybrid powertrains.

From our location near major freeways and airports in the Detroit metropolitan area, LVD can conduct projects for clients anywhere, with access to world-class automotive proving grounds and other test facilities.
